The Prenatal Program promotes healthy pregnancy outcomes by providing access to comprehensive care to income-eligible pregnant women and teens who reside in Belknap County. Services are provided by health care professionals, including Certified Nurse Midwives, physicians, a social worker, nutritionists, and a child birth educator. Patients receive ongoing medical care, nutrition education including breastfeeding support, WIC services, social services, prenatal health education, childbirth education, access to educational resources, smoking cessation classes, and referrals for other supports.
