The Fixit Program realized that it needed to show "future sustainability" to our potential funders. They did not want to support a program that might not be in existance in a few years from now.

With their concerns in mind the decision was made to start a Fixit Endowment Fund. During the calendar year 2008 numerous donors contributed to the cause. A goal of $20,000 was set and nearly reached.

In early January of 2009 the fund was officially set up and an initial investment of $18,100 was made. This money will not be touched for many years until the figure reaches at least $100,000.
