Endowment Fund In December of 2007 Community Action agreed to establish an Endowment Fund where restricted donations could be placed and allowed to grow. By mid-March donors had given over $9,300 earmarked specifically for The Fixit Program. The principal sum may never be used and is only allowed to grow in perpetuity. At some point in time it is projected that the sum will be large enough where a portion of the interest could be used to help support the operations of the program. The Advisory Board of The Fixit Program or a sub-committee will determine when those funds can start to be used. This exciting concept will help us towards long term sustainability. Update: The Concord Rotary will match our endowment fundraising efforts to the amount of $2,500! |
