Employment and Training ServicesInformation on any of the following programs can be had by calling 228-4100 (Concord) or 524-3960 (Laconia) or writing Lisa Hazeltine, Program Director, at mailto:lhazeltine@bm-cap.org WTW The Welfare-To-Work Program is an initiative that helps individuals receiving a TANF grant and noncustodial parents of children who are receiving TANF benefits to secure jobs and gain self-sufficiency. The program offers a variety of activities including barrier resolution, case management, skills assessment, job readiness, job search, employment experience and occupational skills training. WIA The WorkForce Investment Act of 1998 was enacted to increase employment, retention and earnings of the workforce and to improve the quality of the workforce. WIA offers a wide array of employment and training services to adults 18 and older and dislocated workers based on individual need and choice. Services available include skills assessment, job search and placement assistance, labor market information, individual and group career counseling, case management, supportive services and occupational skills training. ABAWD The Food Stamp Able-Bodied Adult Without Dependents Program assists participants to obtain gainful employment and to become self-sufficient. The program offers a variety of activities including skills assessment, case management, job readiness, job search, employment experience and occupational skills training.
